Events
Naperville CARES hosts two major fundraisers a year, one in the spring and one in the fall. These events provide 37% of our annual revenue:
- Cuisine for a Cause is our spring fundraiser and is an opportunity to sample food from 30 Naperville restaurants in a fun-filled carnival atmosphere. The 6th Annual Cuisine for a Cause was held at our new location, Tellabs Global Headquarters on Diehl Road in Naperville, and was a tremendous success raising $118,000 for Naperville CARES. Thanks to the generosity of Tellabs, Van Kampen, My Chef Catering, the City of Naperville and all our other sponsors, the entire $118,000 was to be used for our program expenses. Tellabs has already agreed to host the 7th Annual Cuisine for a Cause which will held on Saturday, April 24, 2010. Please view photos and read more about Cuisine for a Cause.
- Toasting for a Cause is our fall fundraiser and is celebration of food and wine. Last fall 100 attendees enjoyed a five-course dinner and wine reception at Sullivan’s restaurant in downtown Naperville. Please view photos and read more about Toasting for a Cause.
