Volunteer
Naperville CARES is a volunteer-driven organization and we need volunteers to work in the following areas:
- Program - These volunteers conduct telephone interviews of residents seeking financial assistance. It is an opportunity to have a positive impact in the community and be part of the improvement in the life of our neighbors in need. Our program volunteers work two to four half-days a month at the CARES office in downtown Naperville. You will be trained on the resources available to neighbors in crisis and supported by the Volunteer Coordinator and Executive Director.
- Development - CARES relies on fundraising activities such as the Cuisine for a Cause and Toasting for a Cause, donations from congregations and individuals, and grants from the City of Naperville, civic organizations and United Way for its funding. We rely on a team of volunteers who work in each of these areas to maximize the revenue for CARES. Our development committee meets once a month and is always looking for energetic volunteers to help increase the revenues of CARES.
